FAQ
1. What should I do if the booking system isn't working?
No worries, just get in touch via the contact form or by email, thanks.
2. Is payment via credit card really the only option for booking a lesson?
Yes and no. If you want to book over the website directly, via credit card is the only way. But you can also book lessons (except for trial lessons) over the Contact page or via e-mail directly. Then you can also pay via bank transfer.
3. Why don't you teach in person?
Online lessons give you and me more flexibility in terms of time management, without the hassle of travelling. It also means I can teach those of you who aren't necessarily within my radius. Plus people that are shy or more introverted tend to find it easier than in person. At the moment I am additionally looking for a suitable place for on-site teaching, but it's not so easy to find the right one.
4. Can lessons also be booked in packages with a discount?
Soon, I'm working on it :)
5. How do online singing lessons work?
Lessons take place via Teams. All you need is a stable internet connection, a microphone (built-in or external) and a quiet room. I will send you a link to the meeting about 15 minutes before our lesson.

6. Our lesson is in 10 minutes and I haven't received a link yet. What should I do?
Don't panic! I haven't forgotten about you. Sometimes I run over time with the previous lesson and I'll send the link at the last minute.

7. Do you also teach styles other than pop, musical theatre and jazz?
Of course, I just want to make sure to exclude distant genres such as metal, classical music or rock. But country or folk etc. are no problem.

8. Can I give a voucher as a gift to someone?
Not at the moment, but that's in the works.

9. How quickly can I see progress?
That really varies for each of you. In most cases, we can achieve immediate effects in the first lesson. Consistent progress only comes over a longer period of time. It could be weeks or months.
10. How often should I take lessons?
That depends. If you have a specific goal/date in mind, then we should work towards that. In that case, several lessons per week may be beneficial. Otherwise, I would generally recommend one lesson every 1-2 weeks.

11. I can't find any dates when we're both available, what now?
Please send me an email or get in touch via the contact form. I'm sure we'll find a solution.

12. Can I also book lessons as a group?
No, unfortunately not. Two people might be okay under special circumstances, but anything else is simply not doable. However, I am working on offering workshops in the future.

13. Is there a possibility of a performance at the end of the year?
I think that's a great idea and I would love to make that happen. The distance between my mentees often makes this a bit difficult, but we are working on it.

14. Does VTC have anything to do with CVT?
No, VTC has nothing to do with CVT per se.

15. Why do I have to provide a payment method and my address details, phone number etc.?
Unfortunately, that's how the system is set up. I will never use your phone number to contact you, it's just a booking requirement that I can't change. I need your address information in case of a cancellation less than 24 hours before the lesson starts or a no-show on your side. In hat case I have to charge you the standard hourly fee of 10€/45€/85€ and issue you an invoice. But don't worry, if you don't cancel too late or simply don't show up, your card won't be charged.
16. Why are there trial lessons?
I think it's incredibly important that the vibe between coach and mentee is right. The wrong coach can really ruin the fun of it all. That's why I like the concept of a trial lesson. If the shoe fits great, if not - no worries :) Recently I've changed the price from free to 10€ per trial lesson to avoid no-shows, sorry but there were too many :(
17. One more time, what's the cancellation policy?
You can cancel booked lessons free of charge up to 24 hours in advance. After this period, the full amount will be charged, unless the lesson is booked by someone else in the meantime. If that's the case I will write you a note. The same applies to no-shows and trial lessons.

18. Where can I cancel or reschedule my booked lessons?
You can do this under Profile on the right top corner of the page. This is also where you can change your personal information and password. If you can't see any options for rescheduling or cancellation that means that you're already outside of the cancellation period. You can also just send me an e-mail.
19. Why did you become a vocal coach?
Good question. I just really enjoy working with people, and singing is a very personal experience. I find it incredibly interesting how many different people I can get to know and I love finding out what their goals are behind the lessons. It's fun to teach, and I'm happy when I can help others with my coaching.
20. In what languages do you offer your lessons?
Englisch and German :)
21. What kind of training did you do to become a coach?
I completed a one-year vocal coaching training at a private singing school in 2021 and then expanded my knowledge with the famous singing teacher Cheryl Porter in 2024, which was so much fun!
