TEACHING METHOD VTC
Vocal Training Coach
It's important to me as a coach to impart as much knowledge as I can, from as many different areas of singing and voal technique as possible, to you. In my opinion, there are many different approaches to vocal training, and each approach is as individual as the singers themselves. Not every method works for everyone.
Therefore, I've developed my own teaching method. It's based on three pillars, which are worked on either simultaneously and crossed over or by focussing on one topic. This ensures that everyone is taught exactly what they need in that moment, regardless of their current level.
All lessons are held exclusively online. And I know, you're like - why? Does this even work and what are the reasons behind it? In short, yes, and many. You can find a more detailed answer in the FAQ's :)
Now, on to my three pillars of teaching. VTC doesn't only stand for Vocal Training Coach but also for these three sub-areas of my methodology: vocals, theory, and coaching

V is for Vocals
In this case, V stands for vocal practice, meaning the actual singing itself. Proper vocal techniques and sufficient practice are the foundation for healthy and (in your opinion) pleasant sounding singing. This also sometimes requires some physical efforts.
T is for Theory
T stands for music theory and vocal anatomy, i.e., the structure of our voice. The knowledge of how sound is produced and why this happens where and when provides a good foundation for understanding our own voice better.

C is for Coaching
The C stands for the coaching aspect behind our lessons. It's about the psychology and mental work that lies beneath singing. Your personality and mood for example are often, intentionally or unintentionally, reflected in your voice. Therefore, it's important to pay attention to this emotional level of singing and resolve any mental blocks.
Why should I even take singing lessons?
Well I can think of about 50 different reasons right here and now why singing lessons can be beneficial for anyone and that doesn't always solely have something to do with singing.
Let me try to sum it up for you:
Singing/Singing lessons...

-
... lowers the stress hormone cortisol and increases the happiness hormone endorphin
-
... can thereby relieve tension and even pain

-
... improves breathing = increases oxygen saturation

-
... strengthens the immune system

-
... stabilizes the cardiovascular system

-
... is exercise. Strengthens facial, abdominal, and intercostal muscles, etc.

-
... improves vocal health: prevents sore throats and hoarseness

-
... improves our posture, body awareness, hearing and memory

-
... increases control over our voice, esp. in presentation situations

-
... improves communication through rhythm, expression and melody of speech

-
... increases our self-confidence

-
... teaches us to be present

-
... is an emotional outlet and gives us the opportunity to express ourselves

So all in all some pretty nice benefits I'd say. If you'd like to know more about this here is some scientifc literature on these subjects:
